Escolinha(Samba Work Shop)

　JAPA Bloco holds Samba Work Shop for beginners, people who have no experience in Samba and for those who want to learn more about it.  With our Work Shop, you can learn how to play Samba percussion instruments, sing in Brazilian Portuguese and how to dance Samba from the scratch to advance level.

Ensaio(Public Viewing Rehearsal)

​

　We have two types of Ensaio. Ensaio de Bateria (Rehearsal by percussion team) and Ensaio Geral (Rehearal with all members of the team). There is also the rehearsal for parade, show and live.  

What we really do is creating Samba with all people who gather there.

Those who can play percussion are creating Samba sound; those who can dance are performing the dance with Samba. You even can just watch and enjoy the Samba! You can also help to organize the Ensaio or assist our backstage during the performances. Our Ensaio includes all those works that make Samba.

Apresentação(Samba Show)

　Our activity includes Samba on stage, parties and in Festivals, Samba on TV and in live house; we play percussion as back band and teach the Samba at schools.

Desfile(Parade)

　In shopping Malls, festivals and large parades, we are performing Samba parade. In our parade, percussion team, dancers and music with PA equiment are employed.

​

Gravação(Recording)

　We are carrying out recording with Bateria (samba percussion team) and Cantor (a singer). We also carry out the recording not only for Samba but also all other Brazilian music, Pops, Rock, Funk, Metal and other popular styles.
